Fun, fun, fun....

It's been a fun week in our house that's for sure. Paul arrived back Weds morning from his "holiday". He got back about 7am and the best way to combat jetlag (he did abit of travelling) is to go to work !!! I think he had a rather long day. Unfortunately, both the girls have been sick. Hannah hasn't been too bad and seems to have bounced back but poor Victoria - she hasn't been a happy camper - it really hasn't been fun. It's just horrid to see them under the weather. Hopefully this week we'll see a turn. So with having to remain abit quiet we have stayed indoors - rennovation noise hasn't been too bad - thankfully. We're busy working out an Easter holiday at the moment as Paul has time off - wasn't expecting that - lots of options and choices am sure we'll be able to sort something out...:D

New Sleep Attire

Hannah got new sunglasses the other day and like with anything new they go with her everywhere. There are no exceptions.

What to do.....

The weather has taken a turn for the cool and it's been raining. Haven't seen rain now for a couple of months - and it was torrential rain. The last time we saw rain was in Kota Kinabalu and the time before that must have been October. There is a weather warning system that they have over here for rain intensity and storm levels. The thunderstorm warning came out - only heard a couple of claps of thunder. Unfortunately, the effect of it all was lost on us as we can't really see out our windows. Speaking to some mothers when I picked up Hannah on Friday apparently it'll be like that for a couple of months when the rainy season hits. I think the girls will be in their gumboots and raincoats jumping in puddles as it ain't going to be cold when it happens. So being indoors need to keep them entertained, especially since we can't do any puddle jumping at the moment as our apartment building is being renovated (that's a whole different story). No space for that as it's all cordoned off. Was very hard being inside listening to the rennovation noise - and I'm referring to the noise outside our apartment. There was lots of dress up going on, puzzles, hide and seek etc with alot of fun and noise. The photos are from the last couple of days.

Woodlands Preschool Happy Valley Sports Day

Ok I think I'm getting the hang of this. I think there's still a few things to tweak but will get there - might just take me a while to figure out what and where. The aim is to have regular updates - I should be able to manage that.

The last big event that we were part of was Hannah's Sports Day for school. It was such a fab morning - down at the HK Football Club - a walk down the hill for us. This is a picture from the Football ground looking up at our apartment block. Ours in the one in the scaffolding - major renovations going on. We live in the one on the left.

It was all on right from the beginning - all the kids were exerting energy on the bouncy castles and running around BEFORE the events had kicked off. They weren't in their classes but had been separated into colour groups - it was a good way for her to meet other children at her school - she wasn't particularly interested but I'm sure that was the intention. The activities were first and they did fun things as riding a horse, giving the thirsty tigers a drink, bouncing snakes - there was an animal theme going on. The running races were by class and at the end they all got their gold medal - for participation !!

And then after all the events were finished they were right back on the bouncy castles again. It was a very warm day, think about 26 degrees - and considering it was still winter. Victoria was there and she wanted so much to participate. It'll be her turn soon enough - it's exactly the same when she comes with me to drop Hannah off in the morning - she pulls out a chair and sits down. She gets rather upset when she realises that she can't stay.

Intro

To follow our adventures while in Hong Kong thought it was a good idea to start a blog. I now only have to write anything once and those who really want to know what we're doing can check in and see.

I am really enjoying the cooler weather once again. I was not prepared for "winter" to end at the beginning of February but thankfully we probably have one final cool week before the summer begins. Having to think of dehumidifiers, closet heaters and all these other sorts of things that I've never had to before.

Will see if this post works first and then I think I might go get settled down to watch Outragoues Fortune. It's on the Aussie Channel - ok a few seasons behind - but boy is it good to watch The Wests.
